Palos Verdes High School Girls’ Volleyball

Stephanie has a deep passion for volleyball and developing young players on and off the court. She especially loves how the game mirrors life and helping young student-athletes develop a positive mentality, team first attitude, decision-making skills, and time management skills.

Following graduation she returned to Northern California and began coaching at Menlo middle school, Menlo high school, and Menlo College. Moreno was instrumental in helping the Oaks improve from a 5-17 team in 2002 to a 21-3 team in 2004. She then joined the staff at Cal State Fullerton in 2005 before returning to her alma mater, USD, where she was on staff from 2005-2013. During her time on the coaching staff at USD, the Toreros were ranked in the AVCA Top 25 poll each year, appeared in the NCAA tournament seven times, including two Sweet Sixteen advances, and won four WCC Championship titles. In 2009, Moreno was also named one of the AVCA’s Thirty under 30 coaches.
